AI Voice Chatbots

Visitors tap a button on your website, ask their question out loud and hear a spoken answer, which suits people on the move or anyone tired of typing on a phone.

AI voice chatbots let visitors talk with your business out loud instead of typing into a chat box. A visitor taps a button on your website, asks their question in their own words, and hears a spoken answer. That suits people who are on the move, who find typing on a phone tedious, or who simply prefer a conversation.

Infinite Marketing sets up and manages voice chatbots on Infinite Chats Calls, our voice platform. It is a separate product from our text chatbot platform. Below we explain how voice differs from typed chat and from AI phone answering, and how we decide whether voice is right for your business.

How a voice chatbot differs from other AI assistants

People often use “AI chatbot”, “voice bot”, and “AI receptionist” as if they mean the same thing. They do not, and the difference affects how each one is planned.

  • Compared with a text chatbot: the conversation is spoken, so answers must be short and easy to follow by ear. A text bot can show a list of ten services. A voice bot needs to ask one question at a time. See AI website chatbots for the typed version.
  • Compared with a phone agent: a voice chatbot starts from your website, in the visitor’s browser. A phone agent answers when someone dials your business number, which brings different concerns such as caller ID, transfers, and after-hours call coverage.

Infinite Chats Calls is built around voice conversations and reviewing them afterward. Its public site is currently the application itself rather than a product brochure, so we demonstrate current features during a consultation instead of listing them here.

What’s included

Voice use-case planning

We identify the conversations where speaking helps: explaining a problem, asking about availability, or getting directions. We also identify the ones that work better as text.

Spoken scripts and tone

We write greetings, follow-up questions, and fallback lines meant to be heard, not read. We use plain words, short sentences, and confirm key details back to the visitor.

Business knowledge setup

We load approved information about your services, hours, and service area, with clear limits on topics the assistant should not answer.

Lead details and handoff

We decide which details the assistant gathers before passing someone to your team, and how your staff are told a conversation needs a person.

Website placement

We put the voice button where it makes sense, such as service pages or the contact page, and check that it works on common phones and browsers.

Listening reviews

After launch we review conversations to find misheard words, confusing prompts, and unanswered questions, then adjust the setup.

Which one fits?

If you are choosing between spoken and typed conversations on your website, this side-by-side view helps:

Voice chatbot Text chatbot
How the visitor responds Speaks naturally, hands-free Types, or taps suggested buttons
Answer style Short spoken replies, one step at a time Can include lists, links, and longer details
Works well in Situations where typing is a hassle, such as driving, a job site, or limited time Quiet settings, office browsing, and comparing options
Things to plan for Background noise, accents, microphone permission Typos, very brief questions
Phone number calls Not the focus. See AI phone agents Not applicable

Many businesses use both: a text option for people who like to read and a voice option for people who prefer to talk. On-screen avatar agents are a third style we are developing.

How we set up AI voice chatbots

  1. Check the fit

We look at who visits your site and why. If most visitors only need hours and an address, a text chatbot may be enough, and we will tell you so.

  2. Write for the ear

We draft the spoken flow, read it out loud, and cut anything that sounds stiff or runs long.

  3. Configure and connect

We set up the assistant on Infinite Chats Calls with your approved information and handoff rules, then add it to your website.

  4. Test in real conditions

We test on phones, in noisy rooms, and with unexpected questions to make sure it fails gracefully and offers a human contact option.

  5. Review and improve

We go over conversations with you regularly and refine prompts, answers, and handoffs as your business changes.

Privacy and visitor trust

Voice conversations feel more personal than typed chat, so being upfront matters. The assistant should identify itself as an automated assistant, and visitors should always have another way to reach you. Your website’s privacy policy should explain how conversations are handled. We set these expectations during setup and recommend you review your privacy policy with your own advisor.

Frequently asked questions

Does a voice chatbot answer my business phone line?

Not as we set it up. This service covers spoken conversations started from your website. Phone line coverage is a separate setup, described on our AI phone agents page.

Do visitors need to install anything?

No app is involved. Visitors use their browser, which asks for microphone permission the first time. We also provide a text or contact option for anyone who declines.

What if the assistant misunderstands someone?

We write fallback prompts that ask the visitor to rephrase or offer a handoff to your team. Reviewing conversations after launch is how we catch and fix repeated misunderstandings.

Can I see Infinite Chats Calls before deciding?

Yes. Since the platform’s site is the application itself, the best way to see it is a walkthrough during a consultation.
